BoothLoop pricing

Free during the beta. $29.99 a year after.

This page covers what BoothLoop costs, for photo booth owners deciding whether to put it on their Windows booth PC. BoothLoop is free while it is in beta, with every feature included and no card required. When the beta ends, beta users get a 1-year license for $29.99 USD per year, including updates and support while the license is active. Below is what that covers, what you need, and how it compares.

01 / What you get

What does a BoothLoop license include?

The beta and the paid license cover the same BoothLoop features. Nothing is held back for a higher tier, because there is only one. The paid license adds updates and support for the year it is active. For a walkthrough of each feature on a real booth, start with the photo booth rear screen guide.

Rear-screen belt

  • 1, 2 or 3 photos on screen, moving up or down
  • Stepped or Smooth motion
  • Set gap keeps each photoshoot together
  • Portrait prints switch to full screen automatically
  • Fade, Slide, Zoom and Ken Burns transitions
  • Fixed or Auto timing, shuffle by set
  • Videos and GIFs on the belt, muted and looping

Branding

  • Logo in any corner, 5 to 40 percent size, adjustable opacity
  • Scrolling text bar with 8 text styles and 3 speeds
  • 6 themes: Dark, Gallery, Neon, Minimal, Warm, Midnight
  • Photo counter

Welcome screen

  • Your own image or video, up to 100 MB
  • Shows after 1 to 60 minutes idle
  • A touch or a new photo brings the belt back
  • Optional countdown

Operator controls

  • Screen lock with a hidden corner button or 3-tap unlock
  • Hide a photo, a set or a selection, restore later
  • Guests can swipe the belt, even while locked
  • One-tap Download Logs support bundle

Reliability

  • Runs without internet
  • New photo on screen in about 1.5 seconds
  • Photos arriving during startup are queued, not lost
  • Resume the last event within 8 hours

With the paid license

  • Updates while the license is active
  • Support while the license is active
  • 1-year term at the beta-user price

Two features matter to most operators. The welcome screen fills dead time between guests, and our photo booth welcome screen guide shows how to set one up. Branding is where weddings and corporate events differ, which the wedding slideshow software page covers for receptions.

02 / Before you pay

What hardware do you need to run BoothLoop?

The license is software only. BoothLoop needs a Windows booth PC with a second screen turned to portrait. If your booth already has a vertical rear screen, you own the hardware. If you are still choosing a booth, our guide to starting a photo booth business covers the kit.

03 / After the beta

What happens when the BoothLoop beta ends?

Beta access ends when the beta ends. Beta users are then offered the $29.99 per year license so they can keep using BoothLoop. The dates have not been decided, and they will be announced by email to beta users.

  1. 01 / Now

    Free beta

Join with the form at the bottom of this page. Use BoothLoop at your events at no cost and tell us what breaks or what is missing.

  2. 02 / Announcement

    Email to beta users

Beta users get an email with the end date, how to buy the license, and the details for operators with more than one booth.

  3. 03 / After

    $29.99 per year

A 1-year license at the beta-user price, with updates and support while it is active. Beta access itself stops at the end of the beta.

Booking events after the beta

If you have events booked after the beta could end, plan on the paid license for them. The BoothLoop terms of service explain that beta installs may stop working when the beta ends.

04 / Cost compared

How does BoothLoop's price compare with other booth slideshow tools?

LumaShare and Snappic charge monthly or per event. Snappic and LumaBooth's built-in slideshow need internet at the venue, and LumaShare needs the same local Wi-Fi. LumaShare, the companion app for LumaBooth, is $8.99 a month and plays a slideshow on a TV over AirPlay, Chromecast or HDMI on the same local Wi-Fi network. Snappic's plans start from $29 per event or $69 per month, and its slideshow needs a stable internet connection.

LumaBooth's own slideshow shows final prints in a browser and, per LumaBooth's support article, needs internet and Enhanced Sharing. The full offline comparison is on our live slideshow without internet page.

LumaShare $8.99/month Same local Wi-Fi network as the booth TV via AirPlay, Chromecast or HDMI

Third-party prices come from each vendor's public page and can change. Check the linked sources before you budget.

05 / Why this price

Why is BoothLoop a yearly license instead of a monthly plan?

Photo booth work is seasonal. A monthly plan bills you through the quiet months, and a per-event fee grows with every booking. One yearly price is easier to build into your package rates and does not change with how many events you run.

BoothLoop is built by a working photo booth owner who needed this tool for their own rear screen. Read the story behind BoothLoop, and see the BoothLoop privacy policy for what the beta form stores.

The two tools do different jobs: LumaShare also handles guest sharing, BoothLoop drives the booth's own rear screen.

FAQ

BoothLoop pricing questions

Is BoothLoop free?

Yes, while BoothLoop is in beta. Every feature is included at no cost during the beta. When the beta ends, beta users can keep using BoothLoop with a 1-year license for $29.99 USD per year, which includes updates and support while the license is active.

Do I need a credit card to join the BoothLoop beta?

No. The beta signup form asks for your name, email, how many booths you run, your booth type, your booth software and your country. There is no payment step and no card is collected. The privacy policy lists exactly what the form saves.

What does the $29.99 BoothLoop license include?

A 1-year license to use BoothLoop on your Windows booth PC, plus updates and support for as long as the license is active. It covers the same software you use in the beta: the rear-screen photo belt, branding, the welcome screen, the operator lock and photo hiding.

Is BoothLoop priced per booth?

Licensing details for multiple booths will be announced before the beta ends. Tell us how many booths you run when you sign up for the beta, so the multi-booth terms can reflect how operators actually work.

What happens to my booth when the BoothLoop beta ends?

Beta access ends when the beta ends, and beta users are offered the $29.99 per year license. The end date and the steps to switch over will be announced by email to beta users. The terms of service describe how beta access works.

Do I need internet to use a paid BoothLoop license at events?

No. Playback, new-photo detection and settings all run on the booth PC, so the rear-screen slideshow keeps going with no venue Wi-Fi. See how the slideshow runs without internet.

Does BoothLoop replace my photo booth software?

No. BoothLoop does not take photos. It runs next to LumaBooth for Windows (formerly dslrBooth), or any Windows app that saves photos into a folder, and shows each new photo on the rear screen. You keep your capture software and its subscription as they are today.

Can I use BoothLoop on an iPad photo booth?

No. BoothLoop is a Windows app that runs in Google Chrome on the same PC as your booth software. iPad apps such as Snappic or Breeze are not supported, so an iPad booth would need a Windows PC running LumaBooth for Windows. The rear screen guide covers which setups work.

Is the $29.99 price only for beta users?

Yes. $29.99 per year is what beta users pay for a 1-year license after the beta. Pricing for people who did not join the beta has not been announced, which is one reason to join the free beta now.
